Wisdom tooth inflammation, called pericoronitis, is a common condition that can cause intense pain, swelling, and difficulty opening the mouth.
WHEN IT IS AN EMERGENCY
Pericoronitis presents with:
- pain in the posterior area
- difficulty opening the mouth
- pain while chewing
- possible bad breath or unpleasant taste
In some cases, facial swelling may also occur.
WHAT WE DO IMMEDIATELY

- possible extraction
