Broken prostheses or detached crowns

PROBLEMS WITH YOUR PROSTHESIS?

The breakage or detachment of a crown, bridge, or dental prosthesis is a frequent situation that can cause discomfort, difficulty chewing, and compromised aesthetics.

WHEN IT IS AN EMERGENCY

It is necessary to intervene immediately in case of:

  • detached dental crown
  • loose or damaged bridge
  • broken or unstable prosthesis
  • difficulty chewing
  • discomfort or sensitivity of the exposed tooth

An unprotected tooth can quickly become sensitive or become further damaged.

WHAT WE DO IMMEDIATELY

During the first emergency visit, we intervene with:

  • assessment of the prosthesis and the tooth
  • cleaning and preparation of the structure
  • immediate recementation
  • temporary or permanent repair

In many cases, it is possible to restore function during the same appointment.

RESULT
  • immediate restoration of chewing
  • improvement of aesthetics
  • protection of the underlying tooth

The patient quickly returns to normal.

WHAT NOT TO DO
  • do not glue the crown with DIY adhesives
  • do not chew on the affected side
  • keep the prosthesis and bring it with you

Proper treatment prevents damage to the tooth.
